Here’s how you can find conflicting files in Google Drive. Instead, it will create a conflicting copy. The sync service you use will not decide which file to keep. A conflicting copy is a slightly different version of a file that’s being edited and saved at the same time as the original file. If you have the same file open on different devices/systems, you will very likely create a conflicting copy. That said, at times syncing runs into problems. It’s almost always seamless and it’s one of the most reliable ways to back up a file you’re working on. Cloud drives, and the ability to sync files to them from the desktop means you don’t have to manually upload/backup important files at the end of the day.
